Industrial rooftops are quietly out-building the grid
Bangladesh's rooftop boom is led by manufacturers, and the numbers are larger than the official figures suggest. IEEFA surveyed 239 establishments and put installed rooftop capacity well above SREDA's published total, at a moment when grid-scale variable renewable capacity was still under 900MW.
Two things follow from this. The 2025 guidelines lifted the self-consumption ceiling and removed the single-establishment cap, so a large manufacturer can finally build at the scale its roof allows. And rooftop solar is now mandatory for many new connections, including commercial and industrial consumers above 10kW of sanctioned load, which turns it from an option into a condition of getting powered up.

Floating solar for land-constrained sites
Where a site has water but no spare land, effluent treatment ponds, reservoirs and canals can carry generation instead. It suits textile dyeing operations and agro-processing in particular, where ETP surface area is already there and doing nothing else. Water cooling also tends to lift module performance relative to a hot roof.

Storage integrated with the array to shave peak demand, displace diesel, and hold critical load through an outage. On tariffs with a peak differential, shifting consumption out of the expensive window can be worth as much as the generation itself.
Carbon credit facilitation
Where the volume justifies it, we support registration, verification and sale of credits through established platforms, so the environmental benefit shows up as revenue rather than only as a line in your sustainability report.
Operations and maintenance

N-type bifacial modules in the 635 to 710W range from established manufacturers, with cables, connectors and mounting rated for the same 25-year horizon. A cheap connector fails long before a cheap panel does, and it takes the string with it.
